It is a huge difference turning them off! I went ahead and upgraded my drone to the Advanced, such a nice and big different in range. Can go much higher without losing signal, about 2.5 times the distance, and doesn't feel nearly as limited. It's a fantastic piece of hardware! I also got copper...
Had the antenna horizontally, got up to about 250 as to 210 or so with it pointing straight up. But yeah, probably a lot of interference because I'm flying it straight in the neighborhood and there are a LOT of wifi networks and houses very close together (live in California desert on a big...
Sounds good enough to me! Thanks for answering my question. I pick my Advance up tomorrow and return my Standard. Are there any other controls or anything I need to prep compared to the standard that may be a bit different or "advanced" if I haven't flew one before?
Definitely not. I am flying in a neighborhood, and have yet to take it out to any open fields (not many exciting areas in the desert). It would explain the short signal lengths. Just asking how much better light bridge would fare in this type of situation?
Hey everyone. I'm coming from a DJI Phantom Standard... I am returning it and decided the range on it isn't very great when going straight up. I only get to about 210 feet and I lose signal. I built a windsurf for it and got up to about 450 feet alt, but I don't like the range when it comes to...
Now that I know how to sort of fly it, I "think" I know why. One of the propellers may have been on tighter, or it was in atti mode both those first tries and didn't realize it. Flying in atti is going to take some time, not sure if I like it and wouldn't be able to do what I wanted in terms of...
They are on the engines right. IMU was done on a completely flat surface. Black blades go along the holes, silver go along the ones without. Black and silvers are catty corner from one another. Everything was done outside right from the take-off spot (GPS AND IMU calibration) and had about 12...
It was haha. the flight simulator is helping some. My first take off outside was terrible.
I set calibrated the compass, set the IMU mode and calibrated it first, and put it in "beginner mode" and set it to auto take off. It flipped over, and the blades got completely ruined. Thankfully I knew...
Got it, and i'm reading the quick start guide (the poor excuse of a manual). It was VERY foolish: LOL. I had the impression it was able to be flied indoors, but that's not the case and its' right on the front of the manual. All I see here minute the quick start guide is safety instructions. Now...
Well that was very scary. Tried to do simply take off in the room (1.5) meters, and it took off sideways. We didn't know how to land it and I had to hold it while my brother held it and we tried turning it off but we couldn't. Had to google it while my brother held it and was blasting through...
Yeah, it did. I went and got another one. This one is fine. Anything I should know when I first set it up? I'm reading on the app store don't update it or something of that sort.
