This a longtime known issue with DJI Phantoms. Something about the torque applied at the factory. Some get it, some don't. I'd suggest finding more about it on the forum from other folks who've experienced the same, then contacting DJI for a comp. repair/replacement of the shell.

Agreeing with previous posts....this is HORRIBLE advice. The big note here is that beyond the trouble you've caused yourself, flying without authorization 2-miles from class B airspace has the potential of running into a commercial flight on final, or departure filled with dozens of travelers...

The subject for this thread seems to imply that you're searching for justification for conducting a flight you know is risky. I'd suggest checking your ADM with specific emphasis on anticipated helicopter traffic. I'll be back Sunday afternoon...

Agreed...if you haven't, you might get a look at all the conditions tied to the job. The site survey alone for the very specific shot list would take an hour or so to map out. Just not worth it for the pay offered.

Has anyone done one of these mission? How'd it work out? 60-70 specific stills with a lot of conditions apparently dictated by Allstate. Feels like a lot for $70.
