Lost contact with Phantom 2 tx. Now its in the bay

I also lost mine in a bay on Monday so I feel your pain. At 150 yards it just stopped responding and nothing I tried could bring it around. I switched off the transmitter to send it in recovery mode and it just continued it's slow descent into the drink. Luckily for me however I was in the...

Flight time = Appx. 7 and 1/2 minutes.

Anyone know of a source for good self tightening C.F. props. I bought some on Ebay that don't work at all. Also ElGuano for the larger battery - does that require the larger battery door?

"If your voltages in the NAZA are set right" Newbie question here - How would I know if they weren't right?

    Frustrated newbe

Been there and done that only a few short weeks ago. Thankfully it is all behind me and flying is now fun. Have you downloaded the assistant software to a computer, hooked up your quad and calibrated it? If so it might just be you haven't found the correct combination of stick positions to...

    Lost my phantom 1

I was watching a video last week with some fellow filming his homemade quad in action when it suddenly inexplicably fell out of the sky like a stone into the river or lake he was flying over. Lucky for him his machine was waterproof and buoyant so he quickly recovered it. Cause turned out to...

Lost but found "a leap of faith" thank you fellow posters!

I am new to this forum, flying and Phantoms having purchased my first practice fly toy about a month back and taking my Phantom 1 for it's first flight about 10 days ago. All was going very well until this AM during a quick flight when I got a little cocky and disoriented then lost sight of my...

    NAZA-M Assistant software

I will concur - it's a lot spookier than it sounded. You'll want to have a USB extension cable. There were two levels of adjustment: simple and advanced I believe. The only difference being one took a few more minutes than the other.

    quadcopter for practice

Since posting about my Blade Nano experience and getting over my first Phantom flight inertia the poor Nano has sat alone and unloved like a red-headed step-child. If I had a large great room I'd love to fly it around the house but I'm not going to go buy a new home to make that happen. I...

    Questions for all Phantom Pilots

How did you get started? - Someone sent me a video link of a favorite beach shot with a Phantom and Gopro. I was hooked. Did you buy a small, trainer drone before buying a Phantom? Yes - Blade QX - currently for sale on Ebay but well worth the small investment. If you bought a small...

    quadcopter for practice

I read somewhere that a Blade QX Nano was a good trainer and then heard the advice repeated by the owner of a nice little hobby shop in Stonington Conn. It was already being delivered from Amazon so I picked up some extra batteries (I now have 5) and started practicing regularly; indoors at...

English as a first language manual?

Thank you for your posts both serious and silly. I thought I posted a thank you follow-up response to this thread earlier this AM - but where it went I just don't know. Despite a setback or two last night together with and a warning suggesting I should try again later because something with 3...

English as a first language manual?

I am new to the hobby and was moving slowly until I went stopped in at a DJI dealer last week to ask some questions and walked out with a Phantom 1. The weather has been way too bad to attempt flying until this afternoon so when I saw my chance despite I headed to the park to give it a go and...
