    FAA Remote I.D.

I just submitted a comment saying basically "Leave the Hobbyists out of this. We already have visual line of sight and daytime restrictions - and we're already required to avoid other aircraft. Put the impetus on the Amazon's of the world to make their UAV's highly visible and equipped with...

Litchi Point of Interest Not Centering Properly

Well, depending on what you mean by "ahead"... we may be talking about the same thing. In my case, the aircraft is moving horizontally to the East with the POI to the left (North) of the course line... meaning that it needs to yaw counterclockwise (viewed from the top down) and look further and...

Litchi Point of Interest Not Centering Properly

The issue here seems to be one related to rate-of-change rather than interpolation error... but I can't say that for sure because I changed two variables between the first and second attempt.... I moved the waypoints further from the POI and I slowed down the crusing speed. Both actions slowed...

Litchi Point of Interest Not Centering Properly

Here's an observation that might shed some light on the issue... The statement that speed and gimbal angle don't get adjusted if signal is lost means (to me) that those parameters are being handled by the Litchi software running on the mobile device/smart controller in "real time" and not by the...

Phantom 4 Crash, DJI at fault?

I don't want to argue with anyone, but I would like to mention that the logging system saved my bacon and gave evidence that ultimately led to DJI repairing my drone for free. The barometer readings went insanely low virtually instantaneously, making the drone think it was much higher than it...

    Litchi and Android problems

I'd consider contacting Litchi. If the Litchi app shows up in the Google Play Store from your Samsung tablet, that implies that it should work on the version of Android you have - assuming that your tablet has the latest Samsung and Google updates at least. The app developers can mark the...

Android Applications that interfear with Litchi

The only issues I've ever had on Android are when there's more than one DJI Controller-aware app running at the same time. They tend to fight over the USB connection to the controller when you plug it in/power it up. I always kill DJI Go (if it's running) before launching Litchi and...

    Autopilot from AutoFlightLogic/Hangar

For the Autopilot fans among us... This latest firmware update from DJI fixes Litchi (which most of us knew) but according to Hangar's Autopilot site, it also fixes issues preventing us from using that app as well. Great news!

Latest Firmware Update for P4P - Apr 12

Hope so. Forecast is for the first nice, non-windy weekend in over a month. I have an Autopilot mission I'm anxious to fly but have been waiting for this issue to be resolved. Litchi's announcement is encouraging. Perhaps Hangar is just not through their testing and verification process.

    Update Email from Litchi

I saw this too. Great news! Still nothing from Hangar/Autopilot. At least I haven't seen any e-mails from them on this issue since DJI released their latest P4P firmware. I sure hope it's also safe to use now... but I'm not about to try till we hear something official from the folks at...

A theory on the Woes of Litchi/Autopilot caused by New DJI Firmware

So what I was calling "Hacker Mode" is DJI's supported "Virtual Stick" API set. That casts DJI in a much less favorable light in this case. They shouldn'-a-broke it, Captain! Thanks for the additional information and thanks for a great product. Also, FYI, I included your clarification about...

A theory on the Woes of Litchi/Autopilot caused by New DJI Firmware

I'm both a Litchi and a Hangar (Autopilot) customer. Customers got e-mail notices from both companies this week about "erratic flight behavior" with their products for users who had upgraded their Mavic, Inspire 2, or P4 Pro to the latest DJI firmware. While I'm grateful for the timely notice...

Autopilot App appears to be enabling Gimble Tile limit to 30 degrees

Sure... I must actually offer an apology... After looking just now, the only mission mode where this can be selected appears to be "Waypoint". You'll see it at the top of the Waypoint mission settings. That mode is the one I use most often (by far - with "Cruise" mode being my 2nd fav) and I...

Autopilot App appears to be enabling Gimble Tile limit to 30 degrees

If your Autopilot mission is set to "Lost Connection = End Mission" then I think it's very likely that Autopilot could change the gimbal tilt limit setting. They don't explain it well, but there's a drastic difference between the "Lost Connection End Mission" and "Lost Connection Mission...

    Autopilot from AutoFlightLogic/Hangar

Thanks for the update, Tenly. I looked again just now and can find no Autopilot version for Android. I used search terms "Autopilot DJI" which brings up Litchi, DJI Go, and some less relevant stuff. Searching for "Autopilot" alone yields tons of "noise" about unrelated (to drones)...
