As motor rotate current is flowing trew them. Because the motor has resisstance it generates heats. As it was a little windy outside the motors needed to work a bit harder so they got hotter. Could you still touch the motors or where they too hot to be touched? I fly race quads sometimes and...
Oh man, this bug is everywhere. So.. There's a bug in the newest firmware that sends the gimbal to a strange position, stops the recording and you lose signal temporarily. Does your Phantom also do this? The date and time is a symptom of this bug
Don't worry. It's a bug in the newest firmware. Seems like everyone is having this problem. You can try to select PAL instead of NTSC and that should fix the problem. I believe DJI is working on a fix at this moment. Please note that it's not just the camera doing strange things, the Phantom is...
The Phantom doesn't transmit the video it recorded with the tablet. Everything the tablet and GO app have is the cached video files. These are 720p at best. It's the same video as you see on your tablet as you fly the drone
I'm not having any problems with the Intelligent flight modes. Maybe calibrating your Obstacle avoidance sensor may work. You can do this in the DJI Assistant 2
I think this is the cached video file from your tablet. Your tablet saves the video it recieves for I centain amount of time. This is also the footage used by the DJI go app. Just get the SD card out of your Phantom and put in inside of your computer. Here are the high quality video files located
I'm flying from Amsterdam to Chicago next week with United airlines and want to bring my Phantom 4. I couldn't find a drone policy on their site. Also I'm flying from Chicago to Toronto with Air Canada. So I change in the US. Do I need to register my drone for that?
I downgraded mine, it's explained in that thread
But when I downgraded the Phantoms altitude hold was all over the place and the phantom just dropped out of the sky. No damage
It's the new firmware that cause all of your problems. Take a look at this tread: New firmware practically "bricked" my Phantom 4 – “thank you” DJI…
I would really recommend that you downgrade the firmware, is not just that the camera goes to a strange position, the Phantom 4 is rebooting...
I also downgraded the firmware, worked fine. Only the obstacle avoidance didn't work. That bothered me a bit so I thought I just update to the newest firmware and wait for DJI to fix it. After I updated all of the problems were gone! I can switch between PAL and NTSC without the drone rebooting...
