So..basically the guy who flew the "Drone into the Empire State" building while trying to get video would be perfectly OK to do so if the rules change since his drone was like a Syma X5? Suppose the only thing they could bust him on is the lack of a 333 if he decided to use it in his film...
So when will the FAA be contacting him about posting a video on Youtube as part of a business (Gizmodo)? Wonder what his 333 exemption number is for doing this commercially.
So, if you're legally deaf then it sounds like (pun intended) you should be prohibited from flying a drone anywhere near 400' since you won't hear the chopper (or a low flying plane) coming, right?
So...what exactly does the letter say? It seems more about information sharing and "educating" you than anything else-hard to make out.
Again, a guy like Demunseed and his videos are still online-breaking all kinds of rules. Wonder if he just throws his letters out? (can't imagine they don't...
LOL...I figured Air Ontario out...he was talking about an ACTUAL drone.
A MILITARY drone which we all know is nothing like a recreational/consumer/pro quadcopter. It doesn't hover, carries ordinance, about 12 FEET long and flies like a plane...that sort of thing.
The cargo plan made an...
As others have said...link? No link, no proof. Most what you just explained sounds like nonsense anyway-you give no specifics (type/size of drone).
A P3 cannot even fly over 1,600 ft-which is quite low for larger aircraft and would only be plausible during a descent/ascent scenario right near...
Again...this is just indicative of the paranoia, and your comments prove the point of this thread. I have no doubt if there an actual drone hit on a plane, we'd hear about it more than Donald Trump! There is already enough drone-rage without hard evidence of any accidents, so why would you...
Regarding the OP, there is still YET to be one confirmed drone hitting a plane OR helicopter of any sort-and the odds are overwhelmingly against it happening...yet panic is everywhere.
Here's another piece based on the same study:
You'll likely be murdered before a drone ever hits your plane
