Anyone know of a company that writes in California? I've been looking for over a year and have only gotten "no" up to this point... SF does not underwrite aircraft in California unfortunately....
I third that! I have the carbon black with "brushed gold" (not the shiny gold they show in images) and it looks fantastic. I rushed it and there's some bubbles because of it, so take your time. I used a 700/1500w heat gun which saved a headache for the corners. I would highly recommend have a...
Just bought this exact skin in Carbon Black. Application was pretty easy, I used a hairdryer on low heat low air, as well as a graphics squeegee and that made everything line up perfectly! You won't need either of those, as its a 3M-like forgiving film, you can mess up and redo it a couple times...
I'm not a log expert by any means, but I did look through and found a noticeable issue:
14m 41.4s P-GPS 15satellites 198.8ft 0ft 11.9mph 861.2ft 41% 14.772V 3.693V 3.695V 3.714V 3.67V 0.044V
At that mark, the cell voltage variance (As bolded) is significantly higher than the rest of that flight...
As for LiPo bags, I agree that it won't *always* help you through security; but they saved my *** yesterday. Was flying out of Puerto Rico, TSA agent through a fit about the amount of batteries but dropped it fast when I showed them the LiPo bags and the fancy plastic caps that cover the...
Just took my P4P to Puerto Rico in a Polar Pro Drone Trekker. Not a single issue, I would recommend putting your batteries in LiPo bags though. Keep cables tidy inside the case and ensure the batteries are protected from shorts!
Uh, no. Commercial registration is still $5 per aircraft. Granted you have to pay $150 to get a 107, but it's still $5/per aircraft.

You're absolutely correct! The FAA is extremely lenient in certain circumstances. If you maliciously did something, they will rain hell down; but if you didn't know better they always attempt to educate. My 107 proctor was a FAA investigator and let me take him to lunch to pick his brain after...
For recreation rules only the pilot needs registration. If you gift/sell a recreation drone the new pilot needs to register.

That's not true at all. Any UAS over 55 pounds falls into 333 or other more strict guidelines. You don't get around the rules by building a bigger drone lol

Recreational users still get a serial. ALL UAS over .55 pounds and 55 pounds or less ARE REQUIRED to be registered.

Same experience here! I have TSA-Global Entry (basically always pre check) and they only swabbed it for explosives once. (Out of maybe 25 times, it was at BWI) I carry on in a PolarPro Drone Trekker with all batteries in LiPo safe bags. I also keep a 5 pound bag of play sand in there, in case of...
