    Battery voltage setting?

If you use 1760 or more on each flight you are hurting your batterypacks, and they will not last as long as they could. And you are also taking so much out that you could end up with a crash because the voltage will drop a lot very soon. The rules for making LiPos last a long time is dont take...

    Phantom Flite Times

I always fly with the GoPro Hero3 attached. I have my iPhonetimer on 9 minutes and often fly in manual mode, fast and fun. Last Friday i used 5 batterypacks this way and 5 on smooth mild videorecording flying, the difference in what I charged back in the packs was very little, it varied from...

Venom battery alarm on Dji phantom

I forgot to say that I put the timer on 9 minutes, some people prefer 8 mins, depends on your flying style and packsize, and that has worked fine for me. I keep track of how much I charge back on each pack, so I know for sure it works ok for me.

My Phantom Modded For Video - Please review & suggest ideas

Re: My Phantom Modded For Video - Please review & suggest id Impressing!! But be careful, dont throw in too much money into the Phantom, if you are serious about Video from the air, move to a better platform and keep the Phantom as a training device and a toy, which really is what it is :)...

Just got one of these Chargers, works well

The charger I use is replaced with this one: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=18812 You need a powersupply wth at least 500W at 12 Volts, sometimes you see the specs as 12V 40A if you think you are going to use it at full speed. I use a 13.6V 20A powersupply...

Venom battery alarm on Dji phantom

The easiest answer is that your Traxxas is on the ground all the time, it will not fall from the sky in case the battery is empty :) The next reply would be that is basically two things to look out for when using LiPopacks. #1 never use more than 80% of the capasity, and #2 Never EVER come...

Venom battery alarm on Dji phantom

I use my iPhone as a timer, set on 9 minutes. I fly often hard in manual mode and for instance yesterday I had 5 completely manual flights, I used around 1730 to 1770 mA on each pack, flying in wind. Thats inside the 80% usage window the LiPo guys state as the safe area. That means you could...

How can you tell when the TX batteries are going Flat?

Its the other way around, the RX links to the TX, thats one of the reasons why the TX should be on first, but if the bindprocess has been done, in most cases the RX will link to its TX even if the TX is switched on after. BUT another reason why the TX always should be turned on first is that...

How can you tell when the TX batteries are going Flat?

Well Sir, I never said they did, I just said they were doing the linking sing and dance number. (after 45 years of using RC equipment, I sort of agree with you that in most cases a TX only send and an RX only recieves :ugeek: ) Here is what DJI says:
