Sorry to hear that! mine was absolutely fine after downgrade, the only thing was it stopped cutting out at stupidly short distances.... surely though weren't you suffering with poor range when you got your P3S? I thought that was what led to your brilliant tinkering??

I totally agree re the changing number of visible sats but I am definitely seeing a higher number of indicated satellites 'locked' in the DJI GO app since downgrading. My previous flights show a mess of poor gps warnings even at a decent altitude yet this evening I was able to fly home and land...

Well.....good question! The drone gets 1.5.7 obviously but I haven't checked what happens to the remote.... The older FW seems to make everything on the drone a bit more sensitive perhaps? I noticed 2-3 more sattelites showing during my test flight! 1.6.8 had me seeing 6-9 most of the time but...

If it is a .bin file then that is what you should use. Only unzip it if it is a .zip or .tar or some other compressed format
