    Best place to buy?

My Best Buy card is offering 10% off, but I have to pay tax. I don't see the optional accessory packages, though.

Mavic Pro not listed in Android DJI GO App.

Wow, that is kind of scary. Isn't that the basis for FPV and accessing the functionality of the Mavic? I saw a lot of reviews whining about the app. I haven't ordered yet, but I'm pretty excited to push the button. My Phantom I, is definitely behind the times. :)

So is it legal or not?

The government will take away all of your rights if you let them. This is continued tyrrany of regulation, taxation and destruction of our freedoms. Collectively, the quad-copter community could fight against unlawful govt. control. The FAA should protect their airspace, but not decide who can...

    more bad news

Banning guns from law-abiding citizens only give power to the criminals and for government takeover of a country. A government may want to use drones to spy on citizens but not the other way around.

It's Time to Halt The FAA's Arbitrary and Expanding Threats

Re: It's Time to Halt The FAA's Arbitrary and Expanding Thre We are in an era of government overreach. Americans should know it is their responsibility to stand up to a tyrannical govt. The enemy is working hard to take away all of our freedoms in America. I believe quadcopter pilots should use...

FAA ‘looking into’ $10K fine for drone recording of tornado

Re: FAA ‘looking into’ $10K fine for drone recording of torn I call complete BS on the federal government. Every branch as overstepped their boundaries and continue to take away our freedoms. We get fined for flying a toy copter, but armed drones are allowed to spy on law-abiding Americans?

Re: From Bloomberg: "Meet the Drone that shoots stun darts a The only regulation we need is against a tyrannical govt. pointing drones as law-abiding citizens.

    Dallas Cars and Coffee

This Saturday I was at the First Saturday car show in Plano, TX. 600+ show/modified cars show up each month. I always thought this would be cool to video from Phantom, but not confident enough to fly over everyone's "babies". Aparently I wasn't the only one with that idea. I saw a Phantom fly...

    National Parks Rules

If your goal is to video the "president" or "first lady", then you are wasting your time. You need to fly over a golf course or other vacation spots where they are spending taxpayer money. Since you alrady own a Drone, you are on "the list", so tread carefully my friend.

all in one GoPro Gimbal and FPV?

I believe that is a very good point. I wanted to start with $400 project to build my skills, then upgrade later to utilize my gopro. I was thinking FPV next, then Gimbal. A gimbal/fpv package, especially a nice plug-n-play would be a logical step for me.

    prop guards

A couple of times I took off too slow and my Phantom skipped across the concrete on the guards. I know it saved me some blades in this instance. Other than that it has flown very smooth with them on.

    video editing software

There is a new version of Pinnacle Studio that just came out. I don't believe many know of this product, but it super powerful for the price. You can check some of their videos to determine difficulty level. http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/us/Products/studio/

Looking in to the Phantom 1.1.1

I just got mine for Christmas. I didn't have to do a thing to pull off nice flights in the wind, and I'm pretty new to rc flying. I did nothing in my editing to smooth out the video. hNdqV0vnXxU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNdqV0vnXxU&noredirect=1

    FAA announces drone test sites.

Law-abiding phantom pilots will be forced to register their drones or go to jail. :x
