    Finally edited some footage

I just meant that there were no people or property that I could damage other than my own. Flying with no fpv has taught me how horrible my depth perception is, but I hope it will make me a better pilot. Practice in a field until your comfortable Chap!

FlyingFox. I was wondering if anyone might point that out. Your observation is well received

    Finally edited some footage

Yeah I hear you jodaddy. I've been filming in this wealthy little community and people haven't been the nicest about it (BJames probably gets it....Hollis). I wanted to share footage with some local FB communities so they recognize me as the weird drone guy they keep seeing around town. I...

    Finally edited some footage

Yeah, I've crashed a bunch (in controlled environments). As a novice I just want to learn to get steady shots so I only try to capture one or two key shots each flight. So far I've replaced the GPS unit, lots of blades, and my gimbal mount. Someone posted a 3D printable mount for the H3-2D...

    Finally edited some footage

Hey guys, I've been filming like mad all summer and finally took some time to edit a really short reel (under a minute). You all have posted some really nice videos here, so I thought I'd share. https://vimeo.com/103133521 I took a page from Ian Wood's book by describing safety & filming...

    It Took A Long Time...

Thanks for the tip. I haven't checked this thread in a couple days and was psyched to see it on Gizmodo. Congrats on a great vid being appreciated as it should be, Ian.

    Tips for shooting Waterfalls?

Thanks for the advice Jerry. I have scouted the location a couple times but have not flown there yet. I've learned (the hard way) that water spray can ruin otherwise great footage. I was going to white balance at 3000k but will combine that with auto per your suggestion. Unfortunately no FPV...

    It Took A Long Time...

Dude. What everyone else has said, plus fantastic gimbal tilt control. Just the right amount of post production too. Keeping it real. Thanks for the inspiration. Would you mind sharing the standard frame rate you;re using for shots with no speed alteration?

    Tips for shooting Waterfalls?

Hi all, I've enjoyed this forum and all the great advice on set up, camera settings, etc.. I'm going to shoot some waterfalls at dusk and am looking for camera set up recommendations. Phantom 2, zenmuse 2D, hero3 black. The falls are pretty fast moving, about 2-300 feet long, with a total...

    Tilt Shift video test

Chrisono, I love the concept of tilt shift in video. Motion is new to me still but graphic clients ask for it all the time. What are you editing with? I think you pulled the effect off nicely.

First edits. 1080p 60fps - Exported using Vimeo preset

https://vimeo.com/97724053 Although I intend to use Premiere Pro for editing, I figured I'd take GP Studio out for a spin. I liked it more than I though, but am curious about the "Vimeo preset". Is this really the best option for exporting? Color Correction done in Lightroom Phantom 2...
