The camera on the P4 is absolutely a better camera... but i guarantee you that the Spark would fill the need of the majority of P4 owners. I'm not a film maker.. so 1080p at 30fps is just fine. My 4K TV up scales 1080p anyways, so the videos will look better. This isn't an apples to apples...
Petaluma has a ton of open spaces to fly. +1 on the Russian River to Hwy 1 or go to Bodega Bay (closer). Do not fly in Walnut Creek.. it's wall to wall suburb out in that area.
I fly my PV2+ for fun.. I fly my P3 for videos. In the end, the Karma sounds like it would fit more my P3 preference better in that it seems simpler in design with features geared more towards capturing "the experience". 3DR Solo was supposed to do that... and maybe it does, but Karma takes that...
The P3 and P4 fits every intended work space.. up close to long range. Litchi app allows for Follow and POI. Ground station allows for mid to long range missions.
Phantom Killer?? Most people don't think about flying a drone miles away.. and with a lower price point and the GoPro name?? If it...
If wifi on the Phantom 2 taught us anything, it was limited range and choppy video feeds. Karma doesn't match up against the P3 or P4.
What it does do is provide a sleeker factor for those who don't need a long range drone and is designed more for the up close to mid range media capture...
Battery: Up to 20 minutes?? So realistically, it's 15 minutes if that.
15 minutes is fine, just wish manufacturers would stop inflating battery flight times.
