    Flights on hills

Flying a prescribed route using Litchi, you can choose to set all the waypoints at a certain altitude "above ground". Then your craft will always be at the chosen height relative to the ground. See the notations on the waypoint settings here... . Note: The steeper and more rugged the...

    Hello High Altitude

Here's a video that I shot with my P3A running autonomously with Litchi, shooting from 9,000 to 10,500 feet in Conifer, CO, about an hour SW of Denver. Bottom line - no problem. I HAVE learned however that the craft flies about 40 feet LOWER in winter, given the same directions from Litchi...

    Area covered from 400’ up?

Notwithstanding any of the considered answers above, here's a way to figure it out (I THINK)... note I am making this up as I go and have not tried it. find a sheet of graph paper. decide on a scale - maybe 1 square = 20 feet - whatever works for you mark a spot near the top of the paper that...

    best price for P3A battery?

Thanks but that battery cost more than the original from DJI ! Glad to hear it's working out for all this time, which certainly has its own value, but I ended up going with this one for less than half the cost on Amazon. Amazon.com : Mackertop OEM 15.2V 4480mAh LiPo Replacement Battery...

    best price for P3A battery?

I am finding my 4 year old P3A batteries aren't getting the flighttime they used to. Battery down to <30% at 12:40 flight time with lots of hovering. Is there a good deal on new batteries? Or must I buy from DJI to be assured decent quality? Thanks Steve

    Ufo flies towards my drone

OK here's my two cents. I downloaded the video, zoomed in and slowed down the area with the "UFO". Here it is. It is definitely coming towards you; however there's no way to tell how big, and therefore how fast, it's going.

Who is up Flying in the Cold Today?

Thanks! But the music is Vivaldi's "winter" from "The Four Seasons". No elevators back then!

Who is up Flying in the Cold Today?

I shot this in 10 degree weather with my P3A. It was a litchi mission, in which it did the flying and I pointed the camera. I had planned to look at the first take, then shoot it again with changes in angle, etc. THAT never happened - took a while to get feeling back in my fingers...

    Whos Video Is It?

OK, monkeys and copyright questions aside, what advice to the original poster? If a FRIEND did the editing as a favor to the OP, then it was uncool of him to post the video as his. Or did he? Was he claiming that he shot it? Anyway, regardless of that he should not have done anything with...

litchi mission almost drove my P3 into a cliff

I don't get why the reported altitudes would be incorrect as one goes higher. Yes, Canyon Lake, about an hour east of Phoenix. Inside of Tonto National Forest.

litchi mission almost drove my P3 into a cliff

I still need to uncover the .dat file, but for now, here's the edited flight - the second trip, all AGL numbers increased by at least 80 feet on location. Considering that the AC seems to fly really low from time to time in this video, it makes me think that a LOT of the numbers on the original...

litchi mission almost drove my P3 into a cliff

Clearly I put too much trust in the elevations provided. I was not aware of that 30m radius average. That's a big deal when dealing with outcrops and such! I THOUGHT I added enough extra waypoints to avoid missing such features, but given the averaging that GE apparently does, in that case no...

litchi mission almost drove my P3 into a cliff

I used Litchi to create a mission over some mountains - gimbal pitch disable and heading on manual, so that I can point the camera as the mission proceeds. I used the "above ground" feature so that every waypoint would be the same height AGL. I used a LOT of waypoints, close together, as I...
