What's the verdict guys? I'm running 1.5.7+ but have been scared to fly since the iOS app delay issue... Is it finally time to update to latest FW and app? Are the CE range issues that came with 1.6.8 fixed?

Quick question guys, how's this mod with 1.6.8 firmware? With the DJI Go app glitching on 1.5.7+ firmware I'm hoping to fix that by upgrading to 1.6.8 and then fix my range with this mod.

iOS question though... does that mean we will have DJI Go sitting in the updates section of the App Store indefinitely? I can turn off the badge number icon but I'll still have to avoid hitting "update" on it or "update all" right?

Okay, I'll bite the bullet and give the app downgrade a go too...

Yes but most of us CE users experience poor range with the latest firmware which makes the bird almost as unusable as the app problem...

What I haven't tried yet is 1.6.8 with FCC mod. Did you give that a go? What were your issues?

Yup, that's my exact issue... it's the 2.4ghz link which the app runs on which has the issue. The 5.8ghz controller link seems fine. Although on the weekend after the "autoland" didn't work my bird did a return to home which I couldn't cancel or override with manual controls for 20 scary...

I'm using an iPhone 7 Plus with the same issues. It's not the speed of the phone or iOS 10 (all other apps working normally), it's just DJI Go 3.0.0!!

I haven't used Litchi enough to give it a full review but the app is very easy to use... it seems to do everything DJI Go can and is more intuitive. As for the P3S not flying straight out of the box... I couldn't agree more... I picked one up on sale for $600 (AUD) and thought it was too good...

1650 feet is 500m and if you were in an area with interference running stock equipment, you should be happy with that!

I think it's mainly CE mode users who after updated to 1.6.8 noticed extremely bad range, I'm talking 20m-50m before the app would show weak transmission and ask you to activate fly home. It keeps popping up on the screen. the video cuts out too. Downgraded to 1.5.7+ and it was back to normal again!

Very similar experience to me! (Also Aussie) Except I haven't found the video to be laggy. I can see the FPV with only about the normal 0.5 second delay, it's just the app commands which are extremely slow or time out and cause unexpected bird behaviour. Also my bird was switching to ATTI mode...

That video looks complicated! Sticking with Litchi! At least they are semi admitting there might be an issue... step in the right direction
