    First crash!! Gimbal motor overload?!

If you wasted the gimbal and shell, but the electronics were still ok I would just replace the parts cause the gimbal/camera is like $349 to replace. Luckily my gimbal was ok, I got really lucky!! Lol

    First crash!! Gimbal motor overload?!

$59 for the shell, and $52 for all 4 motors, which I probably only needed 2 at the most, and about 4 hours worth of time (including my goof with the motor wires) and I'm airborn again. I'm really surprised at how resilient these things are.

    First crash!! Gimbal motor overload?!

Don't feel bad, on my 3rd flight I flew into some power lines and dropped about 40 feet to hard packed dirt. Ended up replacing the shell and 4 motors (as a precaution cause there was dirt in them) and all seems to be well with it now after calibrating everything. I was beating my head against...

    Bad ESC?

Thanks! I'm pretty happy that I don't need to buy a new board now lol. Now I just need to wait for the wind to die down

    Bad ESC?

Well I pulled all the old wires off and scraped the enamel coating off the new motor wires (something definitely came off the wires) and soldered them directly to the board. Fired it up and crossed my fingers and hot **** it worked!! Thanks for all the replies guys I really appreciate the advice.

    Bad ESC?

So after I remove the colored insulation, the two little individual strands within the colored insulation has more enamel on it that needs to be removed? That may explain why I was having such a difficult time getting the solder to flow on the wires.

    Bad ESC?

So I just got a phantom 3 pro about a week ago, and my dumb *** hit a power line with it on my 3rd flight. It fell about 40' to the hard dirt below and flipped up in its lid and it took me about 5 to 10 seconds or so to get the motors shut down using left stick down (should have used the csc)...
