sorry to derail this thread further...but are you able to use the goggles as a the receiver...do you know?
or is it recommended to buy a separate receiver and such? Ive been using the attitude goggles, however i am finding at times I would rather be able to get a visual on the phantom...
if it was flying its own, sounds like it was doing the fail-safe method of flying back to its "home" position...or the last location it has saved in memory. You set the "home" position each time you start up....assuming you allow the phantom to go through its entire startup process (gathering...
what does the "little circuit" thingy look like? That should be your power board, and should have a connector that you plug your BALANCE plug from your battery in to. The balance plug is usually the small white plug on your battery that you dont usually plug anything into when connected to the...
the mAH does not matter...its how many cells you are using. In your case, all batteries you use to power your phantom are 3 cell. 4.2V per cell is fully charged (or 12.4V per pack). If you use the 80% rule, you do not want your pack dropping below 9.9V....or 3.3V per cell (assuming all cells...
cant speak for the dominators (I purchased the Attitude SD), but I had to buy a battery and adapter to get it to charge using the charger I had. Some even buy a compeltely different charger that supports the barrel plug it has (which is why I went the cheaper route and bought the XT60 to...
just curious....did you buy a camera with the attitude set?
They dont typically come with the Attitude set.
but if you do get one for it...I would use it if you didnt plan on recording the flight.
That way if you lose your phantom...you dont also lose a $300+ camera =)
but if you want to...
I own the Phantom 1.2.1 (original version).
I have all the cabling on the outside of my phantom.
The only modifications I did to my Phantom was I took the battery door off and put a strip of velcro there instead.
I not only did that so I can get the transmitter battery cable to get to my phantom...
i own the fatshark attitude sd....happy with it....no complaints.
just make sure you buy a battery with it...and get a charger (or adapter) so you can charge the battery you buy. the batteries do NOT come with the fatshark equipment (90% of people do not realize this....me included...lol).
I...
my parents live out in the county...and their backyard runs into a corn field.
fly there all the time...and im pretty sure ive flown with 20-30mph winds.
I do not recommend it....but in GPS mode it did surprisingly well.
should see how fast I got it moving when flying it with the wind =)...
I have seen too many video's of new people claiming a "fly away", to find out they actually had the orientation of their phantom mixed up...and ended up flying it even farther away from them.
At least with IOC it will react to the direction you tell it no matter if you accidentally yaw'd it...
^ this.
use the "storage" setting if you have a charger that supports that...and it'll do it all for you.
I put mine in a Lipo bag and then put them in the refrigerator after i put them in storage mode
