Returned home and re-linked transmitter to P3A. Configured my preferred settings.
Video reception good on the crystalsky.
I will be out for a test flight soon. Thanks all for your help.
Test flight completed and working ok.
I did a reset of my crystalsky and I also experienced problems with wifi. Just would not connect.
I ended up standing next to my router with the crystalsky to setup the connection.
The reset was an attempt to get my controller updated after I had updated my P3A firmware. There is a problem...
Some success!
I have installed the DJI GO app on a samsung S7 phone, connected it to the controller. Updated from 1.8.0 to 1.9.2
I only have the controller with me at the moment (at work) - I will try linking up to phantom 3 tonight.
The DJI Go app has worked on the Tab 2 from Jan until last week. After the Tab 2 DJI Go update - the app crashes with ' unfortunately, dji go has stopped'. It will not run at all.
On the crystalsky - I am using DJI Go app (not Go 3? or 4?).
I have a samsung tab 2 7"
It is very, very slow. Only just worked with DJI GO. I have been using it since January this year.
The latest update to DJI Go will not run on samsung tab 2.
This is why I decided to get a crystalsky - the answer to all my problems!
ok, so firmware downgrade is a no go.
I last updated in feb this year just after I bought it. Not sure which version that was.
transmitter: GL300C
Tried aerials up / down and in between.
Previously worked great at any angle - so that is not the current issue.
I have done a reset on the...
I have already tried re-linking. Just tried it again and no deal.
Controller has flashing red / green light. GO app states 'image transmission signal weak'.
Has anyone got the old version of the firmware? I am thinking it would be better to roll back to an earlier version to get the controller...
phantom 3 advanced:
got a new crystalsky 7.85, mounted ok, all working good until ...
I made the fatal mistake of upgrading the firmware when the DJI GO app prompted me.
First of all I checked DJI website and downloaded the firmware 1.11.0020 onto a micro sd card and put that into my phantom 3...
Re-linked and done 2 test flights today, signal score is 3.5
When I am stood next to the phantom the Airdata signal errors is Green 59, but when I am flying the signal errors are purple or red, about 100 errors.
Yes, tried the antennas at an angle, 90deg, 45 deg, 0 deg etc
Controller has never been bumped or dropped.
I will try relinking the controller.
Forgot to mention, I am in the UK. Perhaps we have a reduced output here?
RC in the UK is usually at 100mW power level.
Looks like I have a problem with my Phantom 3A then.
Has anyone got any tips, things to try, software setting etc before I contact DJI for a warranty claim?
Yes, I realise 100 is not achievable.
I normally have the transmitter horizontal with the antennas horizontal. _='=
The last time I was out, I had the antennas at a angle. \='= Slight improvement in signal strength at 4.8
What is the typical signal score for a P3A? 50?
New P3A bought January this year. I opened an account with Airdata and I checked the signal strength score.
On 99% of the flights the sig score is 0. Best I ever got was sig strength score of 4.8
Flight time Altitude Home Distance Minor SignalErrors
A 00m 30s 35.1 ft 17 m 92
B 01m 00s...
thanks, I will take a look at airdata.com
ready and waiting for a new crystalsky now ;)
I have registered on the airdata.com support forum - need to check if this sych app will work with Crystalsky before I sign up.
update: just found this workaround ...
