I have been flying my Phantom 3 Advance for some time now without upgrading . Never had any trouble at all although I try to avoid flying over water. My advice is dont upgrade from whatever you have got. If it ain,t broke don,t fix it.

I use a Samsung Tab A with an 8 inch screen. I think Android is the better system . Seems to be less hassle. I paid about $200.00 Aus. on EBay Brand new. Has 16gb,WiFi,Sim card, GPS,etc. Does the trick on my Ph.3 Advance.

Thanks JP. You have been most helpful.As I understand DJI announced an update on 7th. Dec.2015 that would allow - Waypoints - Point of interest - Follow me -- Course Lock and Homelock. Would I be stretching the point to far to suggest that any Phantom 3 that was manufactured after that date...
