I'm still in awe that I got video from the APA-M04's out to 14,180 feet with them facing the wrong direction. lol

But with the antennas facing backwards he got 13,000+ and I got 14,000+. Imagine if we had them facing the other way. :P

Its odd that your argtek board looks like almost the exact design of the cheap generic 2.4Ghz antennas on ebay everyone hates.

Wow.. I can't imagine that I was over 14,180 feet from signal back splash, but there we have it. Now I wonder what range could be had if I did the range test with them facing the other way? :) Also, side note.. Do you have a photo of the antenna board from inside the argtek?

For the stock stationary antennas, I'm sure it's set at an optimal position, but with antenna mods, you can adjust them to whatever works perfectly for you.

The stock 5.8Ghz is omni directional, so it covers a large circle around you. The stock 2.4Ghz is directional so covers a cone ahead of you. It has two, so that it can cover a larger directional area.

I had one for a year and rarely had a use for it. Now that I sold it, I always find things I could print. :/
