It's too late now but couldn't you have used the "Find my Phantom" feature (not knowing which model you had, maybe that wasn't available?) And I assume the 6 satellites is after the bird's suicide attempt, not prior to?

x2. I've been hand catching for a long time and never had a problem nor did it feel like I was stressing the gear. I had some pretty hard drops (some due to VRS) and have never had a problem with the landing gear.

Putting instructions in the box would make too much sense, not DJI's strong point. The best instructions I've seen were by Moparbob at: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=29063&start=40 I used his instructions twice on two separate occasions and it worked perfectly. Good luck. The wheel is sweeeeeeet!
