This worked beauty! I removed the other cables and cleaned up the cable runs and now have telemetry working on both P2V+ with no camera mounted. Mounted the prop guards and enabled Manual mode... now to practice. Thanks again!

Also one other thing great on the P3. On the V+ when I'm shooting RAW photos, it takes about 4-5 seconds to save the image to card. On the P3 I'm told its less than 1s. Much faster for shooting panoramas and such.

One thing to note, P2+ GoPro route you can't start stop the recording or change from video to photo inflight. V+ or P3 can. for me, this was a non started on the GoPro. I'm more into photo than video but like to be able to switch on the fly. If you really want to use GoPro, check out the 3DR...

Well you could mount your iPhone on the drone! LOL while I wouldn't recommend that, I've seen it done for FaceTime. To make this work you would have to figure out a way to get Periscope to take input from the Phantom camera instead of the iPhone camera. I doubt it would be easy.
