Hello Bill, I have flown in the off-leash area of The Red Rock Canyon open space. It has been a while since I've flown there. I would confirm if it is still legal before attempting to do so.
Cheers,

Hello, decided to replace my cheap android tablet with an Ipad mini 2. After installing Go app, I received a updates required message. I don't have to re-update the firmware for the aircraft do I? After all the trouble I had updating to the newest firmware, I really do not want to do that again...
Yep, that connection will fail at some point. If you are not comfortable soldering the ring to the board, find someone with experience manually soldering surface mount components. It's not the easiest thing to do.
Cheers,
Shawn
Just thought I'd throw this out there. My update failures occured when the controller lost the connection with the p3s during the upgrade. I spoke to a pilot earlier today who had similar issues. He stated that the fix was to move the controller away from the drone, not right next to it as I had...
Happy with my P3S, it does what I want. I am not new to multirotors, I've flown a QA500 fpv with a first generation Naza controller for years. I got a Hubsan h501s as a gift and that got me interested in the aerial filming side of the hobby. I still use the Hubsan as a scout when I'm in the...
Hello, rob 1984. My update experience was similar to yours. After the update, I re-calibrated the IMU. I took my p3s outside without the props installed and calibrated the compass and everything seemed good. Attached the props and flew a couple of short flights, all was good. It is operating...
I was forced to install this update as well, would not start the motors without. No link to older firmware on mine as well. It took three times uninstalling the go app and re-formatting the sd card, as well as the ubiquitous civil defense alarm. All is good now though.
Cheers,
Shawn
Yes sir, I have one made by PolarPro, but there are folks with 3d printers making them all over the place. Mine won't fit in the case with it on but it's designed to snap on and off easily.
Cheers,
Shawn
Yep, I have one on mine. You have to be careful some of them list that they fit the standard but the camera will hit them on start up. I put a one inch extension at the top of my landing gear as well, I fly in some rough bush sometimes and had the camera and gimbal jostled around on normal...
Anyone who owns this, would you mind reporting your charge times? I'm building a parallel board to use with my DC powered Hyperions. Would be nice to compare.
Cheers,
Shawn
Yes, you get what you pay for. I wanted something dedicated to RC, so my Ipad was out. Heard good reviews for Hisense and the few specs which were not up to a more expensive tablets standards would not affect the RC requirements. Satisfied so far.
Cheers,
Shawn
