I'm ancient and I started out with a P-4. I'm intentionally going low and slow. As soon as I'm confident I'll go higher and further--I'm in no rush to advance from Beginner's Mode..

I'm designing an inexpensive sunshade for an iPad Mini 2. A piece of .040 aluminum backs up the iPad, mounting the assembly to the RC unit. Since aluminum is non-magnetic I forsee no compass problems, but what about any effect/interference on the unit's antenna/signal strength to my airborne P-4...

Very nice work. What program/tool did you use to edit the video? How close was it when your drone passed close to the lantern room of the lighthouse? Was there any magnetic interference from the structure or was it smooth-sailing? I want to approach the top of a lighthouse too, but I'm wary.

Thanks for sharing. Looks like you were flying in reverse and not watching close enough visually (sans tablet) in time to gain some altitude and avoid the tree. I'd get a shorter lightning cord, too, before you get tangled up in it.
