The strobe is on the top of the drone, unless you fly at eye level seems pointless. At night it will be beneficial.

1km is def not the max for s stock p3a, it is marketed as 2km, I can Easily get 3 km out of mine all stock. The OP has a faulty unit it seems.

Have to checked you max distance in go app?also check antenna orientation and lastly interference. Good luck

Hey man, it took me about 10 flights to go over the ocean. Prior to that did a few dam crossings. Was harrowing but cool. I went out about 1 km out to sea on this flight. That was scary! I got about 6m over the sea(vps off). Ps great video [emoji1303]
