Just watch out for low flying helicopters. They don't abide by the 400 foot rule. Often they fly right above the water. Waimea Canyon is super dangerous because they fly into the canyon about every 10 minutes or so.
The police probably don't know. They're not in control of the airspace - that's the FAA's area. The penalty is likely a fine, perhaps losing your drone and possibly not being allowed back into the country. I wouldn't chance it. If you're curious and want more information just google 14 CFR...
You cannot fly a drone in US airspace legally now if it is over 0.55lb without it being registered with the FAA. We have to put our registration number on the drone to be legal. This is mandatory even "just for fun, or hobby."
Hey guys, I'm trying to find out how to change the shutter speed to 1" or more. The DJI Go App isn't showing me that option. How do you make it show up? I'm using iOS and am selecting manual for photo adjustments but shutter speed isn't showing.
Thanks!
Scott
I enjoy doing some long exposure photography with the Phantom but recently I cannot find the setting to adjust the length of the exposure. I used to be able to do 2 second or 4 second exposures.
** Edit - figured it out - just needed to select the shutter speed and now I see I can adjust it...
I don't think I would care whether it has the "newer" motors or not. They have the same specifications according to DJI. I think the newer motors are probably cheaper...
Interesting - I did take off from a sidewalk which I don't normally do. Sounds like a compass error based on what you've experienced Basald. How many times have you had this happen?
Thanks for your reply.
