Ironically I don't use meta tagging to my photos in PS or Lightroom. I obviously tag them when I post them online so Google and the like find them, but my filing system is in such a way that I can quickly find any photo I want in about 30 seconds. Taking the time to file my photos is much faster...
David,
I dont use any filters. I rarely use things like a polarizer in my land photography. Most filter effects can be added in post production, but you can't take them away!
If you are just starting out, Lightroom is probably the way to go. Costs less than Photoshop and is more friendly for a...
Hi everyone,
Although new to flying drones, I'm a professional photographer with lots of experience editing and I thought I could share with you all some tips and tricks I use to edit photos to help with the pics you get from the DJI Phantom. You all have offered me more assistance than you...
Hey gentlemen,
Hoping one of you can help me out. I tried to search on this topic but the first 40 pages of results weren't terribly helpful.....
I have read many of you talk about the questionable soldering that comes from DJI and how you have either re-soldered or siliconed the wire...
Play with your metering modes if you find them too dark. The camera is trying to compensate for tone differences between sky and ground. When shooting my regular camera I always have a negative exposure compensation dialed in and that really helps to preserve shadow detail. I used -0.3...
DNG is Adobe's proprietary RAW format. When I shoot RAW on my Nikon it's a NEF file.... every company has their own proprietary version. DJI adapted the DNG format probably because it was easier than programming their own version and getting software companies to adapt to another format.
DNG...
Thanks! Editing isn't all that hard - I would be happy to write up a little "how-to" to get some basic good results from the camera. Since I'm off today, I'll see what I can do....
The trick is to shoot in Adobe RAW (aka DJI RAW aka DNG Files).... those capture more dynamic range and depth...
I used to teach SCUBA diving - the rule of thumb was that if you were going to dive anywhere where there was an underwater current, you swam into the current on the way out and then rode the current on the way back.... because you are going to use more of your air while you swim against the...
First, many thanks to all of you. Although I haven't posted much, I've read this forum for hours before even buying my drone, much less flying. Because of all this reading and information, I felt pretty confident going out for my first flight with my first DJI Phantom Vision 2+. Despite my...
I have been reading on here as many of you have wisely spoken about the dangers of high winds at altitude that could wreak havoc on our flying machines, but I wanted to know what your limit or comfort zone for winds are when flying. Obviously the drone can tolerate flying in wind, it's just a...
Thanks everyone for the comments. I never considered the voltage drop in the rechargeable batteries and that's a very good point.
I did a "dry run" this evening of setting everything up and getting up to the engine start mode to make sure I was good with those procedures and that all...
Hey guys! I just got my PV2+ and have been reading until my eyes bleed on here and the manual. Lots to learn!
I have a few questions and am looking for advice.... These are from things I have read either here or in the manual.
1) when you learned to fly, did you learn in phantom mode or NAZA...
