I use an RF-V16 GPS Tracker (~$40 on Amazon) that works very similarly to the TK-109. I elected to add it to my AT&T plan and pay ~$6/month for the service.

@Bucho check closely that your email address input on the tablet for logging in to the Litchi account does not have an extra trailing space at the end and matches the credentials EXACTLY that you used on the PC... sometimes when it autofills on the android an additional space character gets...

The Litchi team always makes best efforts (continually) to be as compatible as they can but sometimes they can't compensate for manufacturer hardware/firmware nuances...

Indeed, in this case Litchi (flylitchi.com) should be among your "goto" apps if you want a reliable and repeatable mission to use for taking pics/video of the same location... it's quite a feature rich yet inexpensive app (available for both iOS and Android but they are not yet equally...
@flpholt that is very cool.... do you have a parts list for all that you used for that solution? I'm debating doing an LED tape vs LED flashers for improving LOS visibility at distance...
Lightbridge is used automatically for the RC to communicate with the P3 for video/data... you don't have to know how to use it... it's the only way they communicate...
in answer to OP question, your Phantom will crash into the ground - given the appropriate assumptions since you said it was a level field and presumably your takeoff point was at said field...

Hmmm.... nice but.... compass calibration is generally not recommended for every flight and it should be more of an optional pre-takeoff item... done only when necessary or appropriate...
