I did this a while ago. I was able to fix it by placing the phantom in a soundproof room with the new firmware on the sd card and letting it beep away for an hour or so. It eventually came good. Steve

Hi Bob, The first idea didn't seem to work. As you suggested I have locked it in the cupboard with a sd card with the 1.4.1 firmware on it. It is making a horrible constant "BEEP,BEEP,BEEP" not the normal "almost tolerable" update beep beep. I will leave it going for a while and see what...

You may have pinpointed my problem. Yes I did update to 1.4.1 on the Phantom but I put a different sd card in that still had the 1.03.0020 firmware on it. It must have been reading that when I interrupted it by turning it off. Can I fix it by putting the sd card with the correct firmware on it...

I have the same issue on mine but it is on the IOS app. Most of my flights are from home and it always shows "Map Loading" in the flight record. On flights I have done from other locations it shows the correct location. Can't work out what is different???? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

The purpose of that is if you leave it open when transporting by aircraft it allows air to escape to equalise the pressure in and outside the case so it won't pressurise. But you are also able to close it so the case watertight. Steve

Thanks but the map seems to be loaded. I can see where I am and where the phantom is. When I replay the flight it shows my track overlayed on either the satellite/hybrid/standard map but just shows loading map as the location. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
