ill just say that is why you are in NM and i am in TX and leave it at that.
just checking in heh.. i quit flying my drone the day this law went into effect. forgot how to fly it. havent touched it. dunno even if the batteries are gonna be good anymore. dji phantom II. how far behind am i lol.
taking off / landing from something elevated perhaps helps with prop wash against the ground... just my guess. concrete is not going to provide any cushion on landing either. having said that i take off from just grassy ground mostly.

somewhere on this site is my post where I took a DC/DC buck converter and wired it into my remote with a USB cable. I run my Tx, repeater, and phone all from a tenergy battery pack so they are all running full blast.
someone can send commands to the drone, or the repeater, or etc. if on the same network. I thnk they were sending reset commands or pushing them off the wifi or something,, I heard the drone immediately falls like a rock :)
