Yes, use the tool, tighten them just a bit while holding the bell housing with the tool. I have been doing it that way for a long time, no issues. Be smart about it. You don't need to over tighten, but just to spin them on until the housing sounds is a recipe for what you experienced.

use a zip tie, and just bring it up tight enough to not interfere with the vibration grommets. Cheap and easy.

The battery Has a bad cell in it. Happened to me 2 weeks after getting my refurbished p3A. It will not get to a full charge. I left mine overnight and still blinking 3 lights. You need a new pack.

350 flights, starting, and stopping the battery? This equals pilot error, and a heavly taxed battery. Wonder it lasted that long.
