    Novice new owner

It's a fun addicting hobby. I agree with previous posts that recommend incremental increasing in flying adventures as experience and skills increase. I've spent sessions trying to take smoother videos, just trying to figure out the apps, getting used to be drone's orientation in relationship to...

    Abraham Lincoln was my passenger

I believe you could slip a penny in through the battery compartment. Perhaps a penny found its way in while you were transporting it.

    My Props Don't Line Up

Here is my tale.... It was a cold and dreary day. On my third battery, which is also my oldest battery, I flew fairly far...happy with my Itelite antenna set up. Coming back, the battery was depleted faster than I anticipated. This triggered auto landing (a setting I have since changed). It...

    My Props Don't Line Up

I would check two things: Make sure the screws to the motor mounts are secure and Check to ensure that the perimeter of plastic around each motor is even and not binding. After an unfortunate event, one of my motor mounts became deformed due to heat and the motor was not perfectly vertical.

    Really excellent! Very creative!

RTH Disaster - P2V+ now for sale

Sorry that happened! (Curious, did you calibrate the new controller ?) I agree with the above, if something is wrong, land. My usual practice is, whenever I have done any moderate change, even firmware, use an entire battery as a test flight. Just checking out all the moves, switches, etc...

New FPV Camera (FPV Booster) for iOS

Due to my drone auto landing at 20% charge (a setting I thought I changed....) I needed to use the "Find my Phantom" part of this program (included as part of this app). Over 1500 feet away, in a snow melt soggy ankle deep freezing marsh, after trudging for what seemed like an eternity on a...

ITELITE Antenna Owners Thread: 4 MILES WITH P3P (page 31)

Well, your location sounds fairly ideal for flying long distance. I've found that even a few degrees one way or another can make a big difference when the bird is far away (after several thousand feet...) I hope you get to the bottom of the issue that is limiting your distances.

ITELITE Antenna Owners Thread: 4 MILES WITH P3P (page 31)

Although not super important at shorter distances, up to a couple thousand feet, at longer distances, you need to really be mindful of pointing the antenna in the proper direction. After a few hundred feet, you cannot even see the bird and what has helped me was the "wifi wand" in the fpv app...

    Itelite antenna....becareful

Sorry about your issue.. I really would not blame the itelite antenna, as I cannot see how it is possible. Perhaps a software problem with android? The title of the thread "itelite antenna... Be careful" seems to unjustly point the finger at the itelite antenna. Perhaps a picture of your...

That's incredible! I'm curious as to why the P3 seems more battery efficient. But nonetheless, I can see one in my future... Though I am having a blast with my lowly P2+ (lightly modified to my liking) And of course, I'll need the P3 itelite antenna

ITELITE Antenna Owners Thread: 4 MILES WITH P3P (page 31)

Well after a snow delay, I went out and tested my latest setup: -itelite antenna -$10 mod -FPV Booster app, on "Smartboost" I got to about 6400 ft distance at about 160 ft altitude I then decided to fly higher and try to get more distance... At about 300 ft altitude, I got to a distance of...

ITELITE Antenna Owners Thread: 4 MILES WITH P3P (page 31)

Yesterday, I did the "$10 mod" and moved my internal 2.4 GHz antennas to the front and rear positions. I got some extra distance in my usual flying area, covered in trees... About an extra 100 yards. The soldering of the new antenna cable to the rear antenna proved to be difficult. I expected...

Ok! Just back.... I am happy to say I got a distance of 6744 ft. Totally unobstructed over the water. I am pretty impressed with the antenna. As lots of Tahoe is covered in trees, I'd still like something to help me get more distance over the trees. Link to my flytrex mission...
