    Look out!!! DroneGun

It is funny to watch. They make the drone operator look all shady and the guy look all military. They actually have other devices that are stationary and block out a diameter area.

    Sectional chart question

Yes it is. It is. It came off of a test prep that I was doing but there was no ground elevation reference just the sectional. I was trying to figure out the answers by objects on the ground that were close but the choices I had were so close I could not pick one. If I were to get the ground...

    Sectional chart question

I am studying for the 107 and have a question which I can not seem to grasp. On the attached chart The terrain elevation of the light tan area between Minot (area 1) and Audubon Lake (area 2) varies from how many feet to how many feet. I am not just looking for the answer but an explanation of...

are very small airports + helipads largely ignored?

Interesting..... So a person flying for hobby actually have less restrictive rules than a 107 person. Question, if a person has a 107 but is simply flying as a hobby at the time where do they fall under? Are they required to always adhere to 107 rules or only when they are being paid in some...

    OcuSync vs Wifi (traditional methods)

Anyone have any experience using the new OcuSync technology vs the wifi that DJI is using now. I am going to guess that the next Phantom will use this technology and I am trying to get some feedback on how much better it may be.

are very small airports + helipads largely ignored?

Agree with jcdxxx I have another thread going that is similar to this. If you look at the sectional charts for the area it will tell you what airspace is where. Sectionals will show the smaller airports but they are not classified as B, C or D and can have G airspace all around them. I...

Can you fly with more confidence with Part 107 cert?

I think we are talking about two different things, maybe I'm off topic. All I was trying to get across is the fact that because of the 107 I think it makes it much easier for people to have confidence they are not doing anything wrong. I have seen too many people on here that say someone...

Can you fly with more confidence with Part 107 cert?

I agree 100% but it has also taught me those rules so I can utilize them when needed. To many people get away with making people stop flying just because of stigma.

Can you fly with more confidence with Part 107 cert?

I feel as though the 107 does help in regards to being more confident flying. With so many grey areas looming as the topic shakes out over the next few years it will help level the playing field for pilots. I see so many people so worried about flying and just leaving when they are confronted...

    B4UFLY vs FAA sectional charts

Ahhhhh, that makes sense. I am planning on taking the test in a couple weeks. I must say that understanding the sectionals reduced my impression of many areas that I originally felt like you could not fly.

    B4UFLY vs FAA sectional charts

I appreciate the feedback! Does anything change for me if I were to working under a 107?

    B4UFLY vs FAA sectional charts

I am just trying to clarify something. When I launch the B4UFLY app it shows me in an area which says action required I am within 5 miles of an airport and I must notify the ATC. When I look at the FAA sectionals I see the airport but because it is a small one runway airport it does not...

    Active track sensitivity

Just wondering if people wouldn't mind sharing what types of objects have you been successful with active track. How small of an object can you track. I understand back round can make a difference but I am trying to get a sense of what it can really do.
