I also use the LG tablet as my flight device and not had one problem with it in almost a year.
I did notice after the last update to DJI go that I have to turn the Phantom on first.
I have a the free LG 10.1x tablet from ATT. I don't have it in front of me to see the model is but it works great. Its my main tablet I use for flying. It should work.
I had that happen and it flew off and never came back. DJI replaced it so that was cool. I would replace the compass. Are you getting any compass errors?

I tried using my Samsung S5 and it does the same yellow bar thing. Its defiantly an android thing. I am about 2.7 miles away from a very small airport. They told me I'm fine as long as I stay over 2 miles and under 400 ft. But the Android doesn't know that. I need to take it to a place far away...

What does it mean if after take off your status bar in DJI Go goes from Green to Yellow and says "in-flight' ??
