Yeah I almost had RTH kick in underneath another bridge downriver about 2 weeks ago. I don't dilly dally underneath any structure just for that fact. RTH set at 75 meters.
I've got the polar pro 3 pack and have been using them about a week. They slip on and off easily, but no worries about them falling off during flight. Here's a link to a video I shot with the P3S, using the polar pro ND4 filter on Saturday when it was sunny out. I'll also post a photo taken...
Yeah, I've seen Dirkclod's cool little GIF of his bird with the mods (If I recall correctly, that's his P2V+). I've just had trouble locating any specific installation instructions on the threads I've combed through. Especially regarding the P3S.
I'm thinking about upgrading the antennas on my Phantom 3 Standard bird. Does anyone know of a walkthrough or video tutorial available for this task? I see fpvlr.com has both 2.4 and 5.8 antenna kits for the P2V+, but nothing for the P3S (only pilot side). Would I be using the same antennas...
Thanks for the heads up. Picked one up yesterday. At that price, it's really affordable to have a dedicated tablet for your quad. I've been using my iPhone 5s, so I can post an update later comparing the iOS vs. android platform.
Followed the optimization instructions, except I forgot to put in airplane mode. I don't know if it was the optimization, or if it was just flying at a different time on a different day, but I got 2.14 miles this afternoon!!! Thanks for the tip. This is with the stock cables from ITelite. :):):)
