He found it!! Amazing, it had took off on its own out of sight for almost a mile and landed on the roof of a house. He went over to the house to pick it up this afternoon. Weird how we came to know about it being there, the other guy from our drone club who was there with me this afternoon...
No luck, myself and another FDC member had a good look around the rooftops with our Phantoms this afternoon but sadly there isn't a Storm racing drone to be seen anywhere. At least he knows its defo not up there now! (y)
I'm pretty sure this is the option we may go with. Recce with the Phantom to confirm its up there then go down that route, yeah. I'm a Watch Commander in the fire and rescue service so I do know most of the local police officers but I can't envisage it coming to the cops attending.
Oh and ladders 'might' be an option, possibly the safer option. But still curious to hear if anyone has suggestions of some other way to retrieve it using my own Phantom.

I've had the same since I updated to the latest 1.7.9 firmware. Annoying but never seems to affect the bird.

Excellent! You know what, I have never even thought of that location to fly at as I live fairly close. Looks great. Did you have any issues up there?

I finally got out today and did 3 x full battery flights. The good news is that the new FW seems to be working very well indeed in relation to previous issues with 1.6.8. I was on 1.5.7 before I upgraded to the new FW and apart from a few 'Weak Controller signal' and 'Weak image transmission...
So - since the other thread on the new F/W has been closed where people were asking about the 'Strong interference detected' message glitch, did those who experienced this manage to solve the issue by uninstalling and then reinstalling the Go app, which is apparently supposed to fix the glitch...
Well, I bit the bullet and upgraded from 1.5.7 to the latest FW. First update attempt failed after it got stuck at 8%. So I switched off and back on and thankfully nothing seemed to have screwed up the bird. Tried again and this time it completed smoothly and I have to say I was surprised just...
