Checked it and there's no sign of DJI or Litchi running in the background. I use an Asus Zenfone 2 and it comes packed with an App that allows me to set if an App may or may not autostart. I guess that may be the reason why DJI doesn't autostart and doesn't drain battery when I'm not flying...

Sounds a good idea. I am looking forward to seeing the replies. So far I haven't recharged the batteries on my car, as I often have a wall outlet in the nearby. But I think the time will come not long from now.

I just force close it on settings>Apps and it doesn't start on its own. After running Litchi I also force close Litchi in order to save battery. By the way, I force close Facebook too :-)

No regrets. I would hardly fly my bird out of sight and most long flights I do are done as Litchi missions. Smooth and somewhat safe: I follow the bird with my car and can get full control just flipping the switch to Pmode.

Yes, IF the router is 5.8Ghz. But often wifi routers are 5.0Ghz, so it wouldn´t help your bird.
