When flying via ground station programming, does the phantom have to stay within range to maintain a signal or does it keep all the information for the flight plan stored onboard and can complete its course without any 'link' to the controller or ground station? Thanks.

I haven't actually witnessed the behavior, but reading the manual I remember this: If you lose GPS 'lock' by having less than 6 satellites (not sure how long you need to have lost the 6th satellite--maybe 20 seconds like below), the Phantom will be in Attitude mode unless it finds 6+ satellites...

Yes, when I reset the home position I did see the flashing green lights. I reset it to about 100 feet altitude. Anyway, maybe I'll switch to Naza mode and try it. If you say it works, than that is the only variable: Phantom (doesn't work) or Naza (does work).

So then it either doesn't work in firmware 3.04 (and did in 3.00) or it only works in Naza mode?? Can you try it in Phantom mode, DirtyBird?

I am using firmware 3.04. You can look at your phone camera app and if you successfully reset the home location, the distance away number should be near zero now. On a side note, if in Naza mode, you don't have to do the 5+ times full up and down S2 switching to get a new home location?

If the distance is reported wrong, I would be concerned because that distance is supposed to be from it's Home location. Therefore, if you had a problem and it were to try to return to home, where might it go? Also, if this is a Vision+, look at the camera app and make the little radar larger...

Sorry, not really on your topic, but I only get about 16-18 minutes of flight time on my Phantom 2 Vision+, but I don't run the battery past about 25%. I couldn't imagine getting 25 minutes. Maybe I fly in more wind than most and the Phantom's burning energy fighting that. I did fly at least...
