Less than a day to go. Looks like the auction is only up to $107.50, so it may be a good deal for you, if you're in need.
I did receive a question about a "shake test". The remote is solid and makes no noise when I shake it. I think it's in perfect condition.
Hello Everyone,
I recently posted my transmitter for sale on eBay at the below link:
DJI Phantom 3 Remote Controller for Advanced / Professional - GL300B C1 | eBay
If somewhere on this forum were interested in buying it outside of eBay, I'd be willing to end the auction early assuming I have...
It's useful to read the entire sentence and not just cherry pick portions of it for your argument. Here is the complete "excerpt" from the document you reference.
"Additionally, model aircraft operators should be aware of other Notices to Airmen (NOTAMS) which address operations near...
I'm a P3A fan, so much so I just bought a second after crashing my first. My crash was an example of how object avoidance wouldn't have worked. I backed into the object. I would love a P3P, but frankly don't have the computing horse power to efficiently edit the video. I also don't have the TV...
I applaud you for going through the effort to rebuild. I'm hoping someone will buy mine on eBay and combine it with another one they already have and build a "Franken-Phantom". Here is a close up of the top of one of the motors. Comparing it to your post above, I think it's safe to say these...
I haven't opened it up, and I don't intend to do so. The plastic on the "body" (excluding the rotor arms), looks to be in good shape. The vision positioning sensor looks completely unscathed. With that said, there could be some internal damage from the sudden stop it made when it hit the ground.
That's my plan. In fact here is a link to my auction. There are some up close photos hosted on eBay in case anyone wants to see what it looks like after a 200+ ft fall.

I was flying on October 9th, 2016. It was my first time to Sitka and I fell in love with it. I'm currently living in Juneau which is also beautiful, but there was something about all the cool little islands and Mt. Edgecumbe that I found especially intriguing.
Interesting point, though I'm not sure that's what happened here. I've always understood target fixation to be when the pilot, operator becomes so fixated on the target that they unintentionally manuver towards the object (e.g. The cause of many accidents where a police officer/person is hit...
Yes. The camera was 5-10 feet from the quadcopter. The battery was also ejected and destroyed. The memory card was fine which is how I got the video. I had to recover the final file as it was not saved properly. Fortunately, I'm not the first on this forum with a corrupt video file, and I was...
As I sit here looking at the prop guards that I never installed, I wonder the same thing. I think this may be one on the rare cases where they just might have saved it. I wasn't going all that fast when I hit the dam, so they just may have.
What would have guaranteed survival would have been...
I actually think the mainboard survived. I haven't pulled it apart yet, as I intend to sell the wreck as it is on eBay. I'm surprised at the prices some people get from wrecked drones.
The damage I can tell includes:
- All four props cracked
- Gimbal/Camera L arm sheared
- One leg of the...
Camera was set to auto, no lens filter. Thinking about adding a set of lens filters in the near future. I'm working on my sUAS certification now, so maybe, just maybe, I'll approach the Visitors Bureau.
A big part of me wanted to wait for the Mavic platform, as the portability is important to me. I know one shouldn't consider sunk costs when making decisions, but in this case I did. My $500 worth of P3A accessories weighed heavily on my decision to stick with the P3A platform for another...
