    LAANC Question

Well I think I got to the bottom of it. My airport has no idea what LAANC even is so the requests are just expiring since nobody is even looking at them.

    LAANC Question

I've been flying under a wide-area authorization since February for 150ft. I actually asked for only 100ft on my original authorization but the FAA granted me 150ft. The area that I generally fly in is 3 miles from the airport and at 150ft and I'm barely clearing the tallest building. I'm...

    LAANC Question

Has anyone successfully received manual authorization through LAANC in 0ft areas? I've tried 5, 10, 20, and 30 days notice for manual authorization through LAANC. All of my request have been denied and it's completely unacceptable that I do not receive a response until the day before the actual...

DJI CrystalSky vs 2017 Apple iPad

I"m sure this question has been asked before but I'm beyond frustrated with the connection between the DJI Go App on a Google Nexus 9 tablet and P4Pro. How reliable is the connection between the P4Pro and the DJI CrystalSky/iPad? I'm debating between buying a dedicated iPad for drone flying or...

    Airspace Authorization Wait Times?

I wouldn't bother with ATC until your waiver specifically says that you need to contact them before each flight. IIRC, the goal is to have the LAANC system installed by Sept. 2018 for instant authorizations. My airspace authorization ends on Sept 30th, 2018 so I'm going to just put in for...

    Quick question regarding airspace authorization

Imgur Here, this is probably easier for me to just show you guys what the authorization said.

    Quick question regarding airspace authorization

I just received my certificate of airspace authorization for a max altitude of 75ft. However, I don't see any mention of contacting my local airport before each flight. The only information provided is the comply with all restrictions and to check the airspace that I'm operating in. Does that...

    Airspace Authorization Wait Times?

Well, I was just finally approved after 140 some days. I actually got approved for three locations and this was for Surface Class E. Two of the locations were set to a hard limit of 0ft on the UAS Facility Map. However, my authorization allows me to fly up to 70ft.

    Airspace Authorization Wait Times?

Do you how I would go about contacting them? The reference number that I was sent to check the status of my application does nothing but garner a generic response from the FAA. This was my most recent response as of last week. Hello, Unfortunately, a substantial update is not available for...

    Airspace Authorization Wait Times?

Any job requiring airspace authorization may as well be passed up at this point unless it's something that's been scheduled a year in advance. I've been waiting since mid July 2017 for Surface Class E authorization. Their 90 day window is BS.

    Section 333 Exemption

I"m confused regarding the differences between the 333 and the Part 107. If you had an 333 exemption before the the 107 went into affect, are you required to have a waiver to fly in authorized airspace? Thank you!

    Question regarding airspace approval

Hello everyone, The location that I want to fly commercially is set at a max altitude of 0ft on the FAA facility grid map. The location is about 1.9NM from the airport in Surface Class E airspace. I already applied for a waiver and it's been about 1.5 months and I'm aware that the FAA is...

    Question regarding FAA waiver.

The airport is Pitt Greenville Airport (PGV) in Greenville, NC. The circle is the magenta dashed lines so I believe that is Class E surface. My plan is to rarely go above 100ft.

    Question regarding FAA waiver.

Thank you, that was very helpfu. When you apply for the waiver, can you apply for a specific length of time? Or is it just a one day exception?

    Question regarding FAA waiver.

Hey everyone, The FAA has been useless in answering this question for me but I'm hoping I could get some clarity here. I just passed the part 107 test and I currently work for a university as a videographer. The university is 2 miles from an airport and falls under Class E airspace. Our...
