The compass being damaged or misaligned is one of the main factors which can affect maintenance of position during yaw. Have a good look at it, make sure it is not damaged, and is correctly positioned. Do a compass calibration in the usual way. If the compass or its mounting look damaged...
When you are flying from one position (which I do most of the time), without walking around, then a normal camera tripod is the go - removes all the clutter and weight off your controller.
Here is a tripod mount which works well on iPads, iPad minis and other monitors...
I just reverted my iPhone, iPad mini and iPad to 1.0.43. I will wait until 1.0.48 gets the all clear.
If anyone wants the 1.0.43.ipa file, send me a PM. I will give you my Dropbox link. Or, you might find it in your recycle bin, as I did.
And very importantly, do the compass calibration when you get to the home/launch site, and before takeoff, make sure you have 7+ satellites, and observe the rapidly flashing green lights. Are you using NAZA mode?
What is your basis for claiming the MC temp warning is a bug? It is easy to avoid the temp warning and do the IMU calibration correctly, so why not do it? There could be a difference you are not aware of, which might be important to other flyers, in conditions you have not encountered.
I had no problem downloading and installing both the installer and Shou on my iPad just a few weeks ago. Perhaps give it another try. My iPad is wifi only so I don't know if it makes a difference if you have the cellular version.
I agree with un hombre. It seems you were much too casual (careless) with your pre-flight checks. Even without the app, you can still ensure you have home lock and home position locked in, and at least 6 satellites before take-off (using the LED codes). I don't think you did that.
I am not experiencing that problem. The updated app works fine on both my iPhone 5s, and iPad mini. Have not tried it on the iPad yet, which actually I use most of the time. I am running 8.1.2.
You might try uninstalling and reinstalling the apps.

I have not heard of that point, and could not find any reference to it on the official website. I bought mine from a supplier in the US, live in Australia, and took it with me for a car trip through France. It works brilliantly all the time. However, taking msinger's point, in case you plan...
I case you have a non-cellular iPad or mini-iPad (which don't have GPS), and you wish it did have GPS (use for dynamic homepoint, ground station etc), here is a fantastic little GPS receiver, which connects to your iPad with Bluetooth. It gives your non-GPS iPad full GPS capability, just the...
Interesting. I have just bought an RF-V16, but have not received it yet. Has anyone else had experience of GPS trackers interfering with the Phantom GPS?
I agree with general01. I always take off and land from the ground, except where it is unwise, such as on a boat, in snow etc. Takeoffs and landings are a fundamental part of flying, and lots of fun. Don't miss it!
CL gets tricky when you fly the Phantom around you, so that you are now facing the opposite direction. However the Phantom still has it original heading recorded by CL. So in that case, pulling the stick back will cause the Phantom to fly away from you, not towards you. Similarly if you have...
