I am a recreational flyer. The Airmap app and web page show every school as a controlled air space. Those do not appear in B4UFly. When did every school become restricted? Where is this documented by the FAA?

It looks like the FAA has put magenta circles of about a 30 mile radius around JFK, LGA and NWK airports near NYC. What is the meaning of that restriction? If there is a simple summary of the various classes of air space, please share it.
