Panic over chaps, thanks for your help, just uploaded the bin file for the millionth time and for some bizarre reason it worked!!
No change in technique!!
Bloody IT!!
Haha :-)
Yes remote is off and the bin file is being dragged and dropped in the same way I've always done it before during successful attempts?
Rather puzzled!!
Thanks, but is this a fault of the firmware or my updating processes? Tried several downloads on different SD cards?
Whats the general consensus? The craft is flying perfectly so shall I forget it till the next update?
Anyone had problems with the new v1.9.60 firmware update? Firstly downloading the zip file on my mac automatically turns it into a bin file (which I know is what I want) but is this normal? I though you had to unzip it on the computer? Then once it has been put onto a formatted SD card placed in...
Battery had 70% left. I landed to put the SD card in!!
The bit I'm an annoyed about is that it just gently rocked back on its (small) skids and the next minute despite all the (correct) motor shut down techniques with thing nearly melted itself!!
By the way taken a previous top tip into...

Useful information is very welcome on this thread. Shame not everyone has the same idea.
Know how you feel, my incident was so inocquious and then the situation escalated
to melting the shell and motors screeching and nearly catching fire!. If I'd crashed into the ground in a flaming ball of fire I'd of understood the warranty would have been null and void, but it literally just...
Could I ask which country you where in? I bought mine off Amazon in America, but live in the UK and the nearest option to send it back to DJI is in Holland?
Could take a while me thinks!!!

I retarded the throttle, ie pulling it back exactly how you are supposed to shut down the rotors. Problem was it didn't shut down one motor which thus overheated!
