Appreciate the response, thanks.
My CSC test - I didn't have the shell lid on, hence no GPS attached. That shouldn't prevent it from starting the motors though right ?
I'll plug in and do full calibrations, including sticks, then try again.
I had a fairly major crash (cause unknown) and have been working through diagnosis and recovery tasks. Intermittently, as I'm looking after my wife after an operation, but when time allows.
I'll need to move everything to a new body shell as one arm was badly bent, but I want to get it to the...
PROGRESS!!
I've replaced the ESCs in situ (in the crashed body for now) and it powers on ok. Phew. Of course there's still plenty to sort out, but it's progress.
On power up I'm getting a single repeating yellow flash, about 1 per second. If I try a CSC on the sticks I get 4 red flashes, then...
ok I now have 4 new ESCs (2.1 of course). I'll replace them all in the broken frame and prove I can get it to start (no props) before I embark on getting wifi and camera to work and FINALLY moving it all to the new body.
So - I think the plan is to replace each ESC 1 at a time and attempt the power up. If it stays on, all ESC connected are good. I can then test each of the one I've taken off by putting it back in and attempting the power on.
I'll worry about ESCs and motors for now, ignoring camera, gimbal and...
One more thing I can do is to reinsert the 4 wires to the camera connection into the white plug. So, 2 questions;
1) all 4 wires are a uniform grey, which is not at all helpful. while they are naturally hanging like they just came out in a certain order, I need to be sure which wire goes where...
OK - under a magnifying glass it's obvious that 2 of the MOSFETs are "bubbled". Looks like the substrate has melted and they history. The other 3 ESC also show bubbling on the MOSFETs to a varying degree, none quite as bad as the one that took the hit. I'm going to assume they all need replacing...
Re: If you just purchased a brand new Phantom 2 Vision+ V3 R
Won't the Inspire be worse ? Just a more expensive product which is younger and probably has even more teething problems.
OK so I need a test plan to help me work out where the problem is.
The attempt was without the lid on, so GPS not connected - that won't cause it to power off though right ?
I see that under the LED cover of the arm that got dinged is some soil, looks like it may still be damp and could be a...
Re: First boating in motion flights tomorrow over the water.
Yes I've had the same symptom - says not enough battery to return home when it's hovering 10 ft away from me with >75% battery in excellent condition. Haven't had that since Istopped using DHP.
By the way, there's another thread...
