Ah I see, thank you.
I think sometimes I only get one... or maybe they are two sets but very fast after each other :/ Regardless, RTH mode still works after the one set of rapid green lights. (That is if it's not two flashing one after the other) ahhh so confusing
Why is this not true? My green lights flash rapidly after waiting for about 1 minute?
So you're saying it's best to try and beat the rapid green lights and set the compass first?
Switch the Phantom on, Wait for the rapid green flashing lights (Home point set)
Calibrate the compass (360 spin and 360 spin when pointing down)
Phantom is now good to go right?
I set failsafe on my toggle switch and give it a try every flight to make sure it comes back to where the home...
Of course they aren't glueing wires together, it's simply residual!
I feel some people want this to be an issue and want DJI to be seen to have made a faulty item. It's very annoying.
How many V3's have had an issue with the ESC failing? That's without having a crash landing, a tip over...
Re: If you just purchased a brand new Phantom 2 Vision+ V3 R
I've opened my lid this afternoon and found I have the V2.1 ESC's.
I will continue to fly with a little more faith and maybe not view the forum so I can't hear anything bad. What you don't know can't hurt you right? ;)
Sorry to hear about your loss..
It sounds to me like the home point was not locked before take off and locked while out of sea and where it ultimately came down. As others have said, the compass calibration does NOT register the home point.
I wait until I get the rapid green flashing lights...
