Well the Dr has operated - the camera / gimbal assembly was replaced as a unit. Just waiting for it to arrive home. The rest of the bird checked out. So $620(shipping and labor included) later lesson learned- "when it doesn't feel right don't do it"
Happy Flying
Started out with a bad feeling - windy (maybe too windy) ,misty but I wanted to get some footage of a local rodeo in our town. I put the bird up and when leaving my yard I have to climb over a row of 80 foot white pines. As I ascended I began to plow forward not looking at my screen and I saw...
18 grams for release, 10 grams fir receiver - my old nicads as shown in pic have some weight but the new LIPO will weigh 50 grams so I don't think weight is an issue for up - over - drop - home.
And it tie-wraps on so next question ;)
Here's a few pics of my P3P with the new payload release system. I'm using it for hanging ham radio antennas in trees. Great tool for that purpose. A little off balance but I wanted to use the camera for aiming..
gotcha- yea thats what I'm doing too, however it seems odd no one else is having this issue. Its hard to get perfect congruent exposure in a video when you need to adjust continually( I fly in and out of dense bush). Thanks you're the only response to 3 posts on this problem. Guess I'll email DJI
I've asked this before and got no response so I'm trying again. When I lock the auto exposure icon on my P3Pro it stays locked for a few seconds then unlocks on its own. Can I be the only Phantom 3 doing this???
Very annoying
Agreed- however all high end product manufacturers who hope to maintain the hold on the top ensure a few years support for their product. Even though Windows threw out 3 platforms a few years back there was still support for a few years. All I'm saying is treat all customers new and past with...
my thoughts are in the support arena. How long before we hear "those parts are no longer available1' please consider upgrading to our P4.....and then theres firmware upgrades
