Yep, learning lots. It's interesting how many different DIY antennas there are out there for 5.8GHz FPV. Cloverleaf, skew planar, helical, double helical, yagi, patch/panel, celtic knot. I haven't seen a DIY parabolic yet. I think my next project is a double helical.

That is a right angle SMA crimp connector. The silver cylinder is the crimp sleeve and other part is the cap. Make sure you get the connector for RG58 type coax. I could not find a good youtube video or website describing it. I'll keep looking.
