I was going to link the airports page from FAA.gov but I see you have already gone down that rabbit hole and found it lacking.
I suggest you contact your member of congress about the shambles that is the airport list. I also suggest you approach this in a hindrance to business (like a drone...
In case anyone is interested, I found a sale on the P4 LED lights and decided to give it a try on my P3P.
I had to cut off the ends as they would not fit on the P3 legs but was able to use tie wraps to mount them. The front one (white) fit best between the motor arms as a lower position would...
Looking at the available light sets for the P3 series I am not impressed by the battery clip over the GPS sensor and the wires running by the antennas in the legs.
The P4 lights are much more elegant: Amazon.com : PolarPro DJI Phantom 4 LED Light Bars (Headlights and Taillights) : Camera &...
My company does not allow me to identify it in public forums, so I will just say there is a hint in my username. We are also in the process of changing from red to blue. Sorry to be coy but I like my job and want to keep it.
Thanks Richard,
In actual practice on big planes performance is affected mostly by pressure, temperature and weight, with a very slight nod to humidity. For the purpose of this discussion I tried to simplify the concepts. OP Bobby asked for the "mechanical limit", which in aircraft performance...
All aircraft have a service ceiling, the point where lift and thrust give out and are equaled by drag and gravity. In the case of a quad copter this is the point where lower air density makes the thrust from the blades unable to carry the weight of the quad.
DJI says 6000 meters, or roughly...
Well, it is Texas. Don't they have a "castle law" there? (not that it would apply, but that is the mindset)
I would get the local law involved and call the local FAA as well. You may or may not get the guy to pay up but you certainly will get him in hot water. The local law should take a dim...
Go to Airmen Certification and read the "news and highlights" box right at the center. It will tell you which week of applications the FAA is processing. They update the information weekly.
Don't forget to print out your temporary certificate at the IACRA - Federal Aviation Administration web...
I had the same decision to make, but between the P4P and P3P. The P3P won out on cost as well and I love flying it. It has the same camera as the regular P4. The P3 is missing the collision avoidance of the P4 & P4P but still has great range and flight time.
Comparing the P3P to the Mavic Pro...
My temp was in immediately. Might be because I was already in the system. The FAA email advising me the temp was viewable was several days later. Hope yours is in your hands now.
Go back into IACRA and look around. You should have the temp cert view-able if the application is complete (ID verification done by a CFI or FAA inspector).
