the iOSD Mini is the device that will overlay telemetry data (height, speed, distance, etc) on your FPV feed, so it's recommended you include one in your FPV build.
there is a stickythread in this forum called "lowest prices on FPV components" that should help you through the path of acquiring...
couple things - I'm not sure if it's directly related but I do think it would be a good idea to re-mount your FPV transmitter away from the compass. I'm not sure exactly what behavior occurs with compass interference but it's possible.
The problem is there's all sorts of reasons the P2 will go...
GoPro is indeed rumored to have their own quadcopter in development.
The FAQ on the DJI website says NO the camera on the P3 is not designed to be removed at all, period.
it does seem like a really good deal... it's obvious they're trying to dump stock before the new model is announced tomorrow... I expect the price will drop further once the P3 is announced, or at least when it launches.
lol haters gonna hate. I've actually wondered that myself propwashed... the flight computer is basically the same, there's obviously connections there for more rotors, I've occasionally wondered how hard it would be to port a Phantom over to a hex platform... would the firmware take a ****...
there are indeed people for whom it works fine, but you cannot say that because YOU aren't having an issue that there isn't one. it is a widely, commonly known issue around this site and elsewhere. I mean no disrespect or anything, but the IRC600 / 32ch BP compatibility issue is a real thing...
ok next, it's important to understand that there are 2 different frequency sets in the 5.8ghz range commonly used for FPV like this:
one family is the Fatshark / ImmersionRC set, the other is Boscam/Foxtech/Flysight.
Each one of those families is only 7 or 8 frequencies , and that's why so...
there is enough variance in the production of H3-3D gimbals that different people are going to have very different experiences. I personally have 2 and I have a friend also with two H3-3D's and the balance is a little different on each of them so each person's result is going to be slightly...
perfectly good recommendation, just throwing it out there that home improvement stores like Home Depot and Lowes also have heavy-duty battery drop boxes if that winds up being more convenient than a BB
Ezookiel that's the "DJI FPV Hub" which is ONLY used with an AVL58 transmitter (not a P2-Vision, sorry TeamYankee :)). it ties together the Phantom mainboard, gimbal, iOSD mini and AVL58. With your IRC600, that same function is accomplished by a simple PnP cable (like this)
it was...
that item you linked is a 2.4Ghz transmitter. Assuming you're running a non-Vision series Phantom 2, your RC control runs on 2.4Ghz so you don't want to interfere with that! you need a 5.8Ghz FPV transmitter.
Few more things: Is your BP receiver the 32ch version, or 7ch version? There...
Skydronik, there is no such thing as "privacy" when you're in a public place, at least not as it applies to photography. If it was on private land that was posted no photography you may have a point but that's the only way.
There IS such a thing as Criminal Damage though.
I mean seriously...
