Does it not appear that Mic is testing 3 models: H3B+, H4S (screen off) and H4B?
Yes, it is logical (and worthwhile price for the advanced capabilities) that the battery life should be at least 20% less on the new H4B.
Appreciate you sharing your settings.
You keep your polar filter on (almost...
Greetings New Zealand!
Ah, yes good ol' Mic Bergsma. His basic side by side test is helpful.
It does hint at the basic challenge of battery technology in the face of ever increasing processors.
By his numbers, the H4B has 20% less longevity than the H3B+ when shooting 1080 24P
Maybe less in a...
I agree. It is a dense box of photonic magic.
GoPro 4 Black + your v5 profile = (the potential for) masterful imagery.
I'll prefer to blame the rapid discharging of the battery to my possible lack of turning it off...
Fully charged it tonight. It's loaded on Phantom, HDMI cable in, without...
Perhaps a faulty battery?
Attempting to start camera today while the Phantom 2 was off, discovered the GoPro's battery was fully drained.
It was stored overnight on mid charge after 15 minutes of flight attached to its H3-3D gimbal with the ribbon HDMI connected (no smart battery in Phantom...
Greetings-
Any input/real world results on the Black GoPro 4 battery life/consumption on a Phantom 2 with H3-3D?
New chip set. New battery. New power consumption? Any thoughts on the GoPro 4's interaction with the Phantom's smart battery?
I had full battery charge. Only 4 flights over one...
Hey SpikeFinch! Thanks again for this great thread.
I'm very pleased with the yaw speed now. It is very slow and silky. And this is with maximum left/right, so you don't have to worry about hand strength variation holding the stick mid throw. That is, crank it over to max and hold.
I could see...
To add the resistors to an existing 10-20K potentiometer mod, place them on the input black/yellow lines before they enter the single pin portion of the mod potentiometer.
Greetings Tinkerers!
I have drawn up this very basic fixed resistor re-mod based on RemE-Lars' original schematic and cougar's recent invaluable guidance.
I hope this can add to the fun and exploration of this burgeoning medium.
This forum is fantastic.
my appreciation,
Eric
Greetings rv6tc and fellow late-night modders,
It has been 10 educational days since I last posted.
Thank you SpikeFinch for producing your instructional video, this has been motivating for those with little experience but ample will.
Seeing the previous video of the 10K potentiometer yaw...
I'm placing various resistors 1 at a time across the black wire from the yaw gimbal pot or after the 20K pot. no luck.
The Rudder values at maximum left or right are all jacked up.
Examples:
original R-values before resistors with maximum 20K resistance: -201(left)/86(right)
100 ohm resistor...
That's what I figured and plowed ahead with the project. thanks.
In your opinion, are my pictures clear enough to determine if they are correctly wired as pb7424 questioned?
I'm currently fiddling with inline resistors.
best to you
This had been my primary question from the beginning of the project. Why was it a question?
Because of the Lars' schematic that RemE included with his original drawings.
They are different at the very point you speak, pb7424.
SpikeFinch seems to have produced his Phantom TX yaw mod video...
12.26K ohms across the BLACK wire pot
12.36K ohms across the YELLOW wire pot
Perhaps the .1K ohm difference in the BLACK wire suggests it is responsible for the LEFT YAW and that it needs a 100 ohm resistor.
is that balancing?
thanks
