Welcome aboard... The DJI Phantoms are really great ways to learn multi-rotor piloting ... :) There's an awful lot to learn, so go at your own pace, learn what flight modes you can fall back on when necessary, pay close attention to what GPS does for you and last but not least get familiar with...

Hmm... guess I haven't read the same comments regarding imposed NFZ restrictions occurring within the Litchi app that you have... P.S. Your "convicts" moniker brought a big smile to my face.... you Aussies are alright in my book.

Have looked at the Mission Hub videos and begun reviewing he Film School Introduction videos.... its a beautifully intuitive system.:) Have got a few questions... I may have missed something in the videos but how important is it to "precisely" preposition the quad at the exact position...

Thanks for the clarification.... I was just curious how well you replicated what the P1 would see under actual flight conditions. Regardless of where your interests lie (piloting, aerial photography, etc.) you're going to find the P1 an awful lot of fun to fly.

Welcome to the forum.... :) Still have two (2) flying P1's so I was intrigued with your power measurements.... Any chance you can share photo's of the setup you used to measure power usage at different operating stages? Also, what was your P1's takeoff weight when you made the current draw...

:eek:????????:confused: Your comment about "now" trying to balance props really surprised me. Having balanced motors AND balanced props are the first things to check when jello rears its ugly head. Good isolation mounts are next, followed lastly by ND filters. The filters might improve SMALL...

The blinking lights you describe (ending in a slow blinking green) indicates the P1 has found enough satellites to set a home point. That's a must before you try to fly...:) If the link between your controller (i.e. transmitter) and the P1 receiver were broken you'd only see a steady blinking...

Need more information before making any recommendations... Take your props off (for safety reasons), turn your transmitter on and then connect your P1's battery. Describe the pattern of blinking lights that you now see on the P1.

You're more than welcome.... enjoy the P1.... it's a reliable and "uncomplicated" bird to fly. Never regretted my choice to buy a couple of these.
